Photo Journal Memories

I've been working on my photo journal from last year. It's taking me longer than I wanted it to (no surprise there) but I am loving putting it together and am looking forward to having the book printed.

It's interesting to see what photos speak to me after the fact. I used my camera nearly every day, and now as I look back a year later, some photos that didn't do much for me before, really stick out to me.

Photobucket

One of them is this shot of the first day she let me leave her at dance all by herself. It reminds me of how she used to feel so anxious to be without me. She's completely grown out of that piece of herself and now has a confidence all her own, making this memory much more tender. I'm so glad I have it.

I think that's why it so hard for me to delete photos because in time I can always find something beautiful. I love to find a treasure when at first glance I hadn't noticed it. Sweet photo of hanna.

You are going to love your book when you finally get it all together. Can't wait to see it.

I love your beautiful pictures and your great quotes. It's always great to connect with other photographers. This picture is especially sweet.

This photo is so beautiful. It says so much to me. I need to make one of these books too, although I would never complete it. :)
